Emily Hanhauser, an S.M. candidate jointly advised by Professor Hart and Professor Rohit Karnik (MechE), completed her Master’s Thesis this month, entitled: “Dry preservation of heavy metal contaminants using cation exchange resins for improved water quality monitoring.” Emily’s thesis research was facilitated by seed financing from MIT’s J-WAFS program, and was awarded May 19th, 2017.
