Welcome, Emre Tekoglu! Emre will be joining the Mechanosynthesis Group as a Postdoctoral Fellow beginning Fall 2021. Emre is working on laser powder bed melting of In718 based composites and refractory alloys for aviation industry.
Welcome Nick!
Welcome, Nicholas Diaco! Nick will be joining the Mechanosynthesis Group as a PhD student beginning Fall 2021. Nick is working on developing polymeric 3D printing techniques for spatially graded and multi-material structures.
Welcome Zach!
Welcome, Zachery Kutschke! Zach will be joining the Mechanosynthesis Group as a MS student beginning Fall 2021. Zach is working on building a hybrid SLM/inkjet printer for making spatially graded parts in refractory metals.
Congratulations and farewell Adam Stevens!
Farewell and congratulations to Dr. Adam Stevens, who successfully defended their doctoral thesis, “High-throughput extrusion additive manufacturing – rate limits and system design”. Dr. Stevens accepted a position as an associate staff researcher working on applications of automation and robotics to additive manufacturing at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility, part of Oak Ridge National Lab in Tennessee. We look forward to the inevitable accomplishments in store for Dr. Stevens. Congratulations
