    John Hart, Ryan Penny, and Adam Stevens visited the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. They presented our latest additive manufacturing work and toured the labs, including the world-famous big-area additive manufacturing (BAAM) systems. The meeting room included a 3D printed podium!

    Congratulations to Dr. Jinjing Li who successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis, entitled “High-Yield Carbon Nanotube Growth by Moisture-Controlled Decoupled Chemical Vapor Deposition”, at the University of Michigan. Our CNT growth team has learned a lot from Jinjing’s work and will continue to implement his findings in our lab!

    The Mechanosynthesis Group gives a warm welcome to five new members this semester: Crystal Owens, Dhanush Mariappan, Emily Hanhauser, Kehang Cui, Piran Kidambi, and Mike Bono.
