Farewell and congratulations to David Griggs! David, a member of the Mechanosynthesis Group since July 2018, successfully completed his Master’s Thesis, “Design and validation of a high-pressure laser melting system” in February this year. He then continued his research on the impact of ambient pressure on laser melting and laser powder bed fusion. David now plans to embark on a career spent building smart products and systems that improve lives. He is now working at Remora, a startup in the Detroit area creating mobile carbon capture for semi trucks. We look forward to the inevitable accomplishments in store for David!
