On February 28th and March 2nd, Prof. Hart was invited to the U.S. Army’s Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) to deliver a 2-day course on additive manufacturing. The course was an adaptation of his longer, 5-day professional course, “Additive Manufacturing: From 3D Printing to the Factory Floor,” delivered at MIT each summer.
Participants of the NSRDEC course were taught on the fundamentals of AM processes, properties, and materials, with numerous example parts available to illustrate the principles discussed during the lecture. We hope that this brief course illustrated the possibilities available for the scientists and engineers at NSRDEC when leveraging the unique value of AM.
